On Friday, August 14th Orlando filmmakers started scrambling to write, produce, and edit a 4-7 minute short film. 48 hours later many of them crossed the finish line.
At the kick-off, our 13 person team, The League of Extraordinary Filmmakers, drew the genre of HORROR. We quickly formulated a plan and began scriptwriting. The next day was a fast paced, intense shoot day with little room for error. Luckily, our team of trained professionals worked in harmony to capture only what was necessary for the film. We called our last shot around 7:3o pm, an hour ahead of schedule.
For the next several hours we waited around patiently as our editor David Ouellette chopped and organized all of the days footage. David continued to work through the night, diligently cutting up the footage and slowly building the story on the timeline.
By the next morning David had finished editing many of the scenes. We patiently waited again as other team members polished the footage and began to lay down a rough score to the film. Then, as the scenes were ...
When Eyesview Co - Founders Tom Barile and Raymond Klecker handed off the completed script for their Sketch Comedy Film "SKETCH BOX," Eyesview could not resist but to mount production on their sixth and largest short film to date. SKETCH BOX follows an assortment of insane characters through the events of one day while constantly punching the audience in the face with joke after joke.
Shot on a shoestring budget over four days in Orlando, Sketch Box's 20-person crew and talent worked long hours to bring to life this ambitious short. From stop motion to camera tricks, to animation to choreographed fight scenes, Sketch Box was all over the place with various locations and lavish setups. All said and done, Sketch Box turned out better than we could have ever expected it to, and to this day we here at Eyesview consider it a milestone in our history.

BEHIND THE SCENES
A Dark Place stands out as an interesting Eyesview short for the sole purpose of how it was created. The short, directed by Tom Barile and featuring Raymond Klecker as the main character, follows a man walking through a dark, dream-like reality and being guided by strange voices and visions. Shot on 8mm film and completely unscripted, Tom and Raymond improvised this entire 4-minute video, taking the viewer on a strange, dark and cerebral journey. After two weeks of video and sound editing, Tom and Raymond were able to put all the pieces together to tell their story. This short is a testament to Eyesview's inner strength of working on-the-fly, and really brings truth to our motto, Imagination Taken Seriously.
In the timeline of Eyesview’s history, the very first project was REWINDER: SCI LENT FICTION. This project was Eyesview's first short film and in fact the first time the collective known as Eyesview assembled. Shot as part of the 2005 Orlando 36 hour film festival, REWINDER was conceptualized, shot and edited over the span of exactly 36 hours, using a prop, line of dialogue and genre assigned by the festival. After drawing the short end of the stick with the genre of SILENT FILM and the strange prop of a glowing toy ball, Eyesview ultimately persevered and devised a most clever way to put it all together!
REWINDER: SCI LENT FICTION, is about a young man who stumbles across a strange glowing orb while walking through the woods to later find out that it is actually a TIME MACHINE. Deciding to trick the laws of time,,the boy can now do and un-do anything he wants. But will he go too far?
Using camera tricks and a run-and-gun crew, Eyesview won BEST USE OF PROP in a professional ...
