Panasonic HVX200

The Panasonic AG-HVX200 answers the demands of the professional HDTV photographer with a compact and feature packed acquisition tool. The camera is compatible with DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO50, DVCPRO25 and consumer DV recording standards. It uses 3 wide aspect CCDs for true 16:9 recordings. It has a wide angle Leica Dicomar 13x Zoom lens with advanced glass coatings. The most significant advance is that it uses the P2 memory cards for recording. This disk based recording medium makes the video immediately accessible to non-linear systems leaving behind a digitizing process that tape always required.

Panasonic DVX100B

Already used for film and TV program production as well as news gathering, Panasonic’s DVX100 series has now evolved further with the AG-DVX100B. The AG-DVX100B debuts as the industry’s first DV camera-recorder to allow camera-to-camera time-code synchro and user-settable file transfer.

Green Screen

Chroma key is a technique for mixing two images or frames together, in which a color (or a small color range) from one image is removed (or made transparent), revealing another image behind it. A Green Screen is commonly used as a backdrop because it is the opposite color of human skin and therefore a little bit easier to key out.

OTHER PACKAGES

Jib

A jib is useful for getting high shots, or shots which need to move a great distance horizontally or vertically, without the expense and safety issues of putting a camera operator on a crane or laying track for a dolly. A jib can even be mounted on a dolly for shots in which the camera moves over obstacles such as furniture, when a normal dolly shot could not be used.

Steadicam

A Steadicam is a stabilizing mount for a motion picture camera, which mechanically isolates the operator’s movement from the camera, allowing a very smooth shot even when the operator is moving quickly over an uneven surface.
